Park Bench Deli x Steeple's Deli: Old School Charms Since ∞
Park Bench Deli, together with Steeple's Deli and friends from Brooklyn Brewery and Ageless Galaxy come together to create a special event celebrating sandwiches, art, and music to pay homage to the first deli of Singapore and to the delicatessens all around the world.
“The idea for this event came naturally by a combination of relationships and circumstance. PBD has been the new deli over the past 8 years and we are excited to be working together with Steeple's Deli (the first Deli in Singapore)” says Andrei Soen of Park Bench Deli. “We’re also stoked that Brooklyn Brewery from New York and our mates, Ageless Galaxy from Indonesia have come on board in a big way to support the event.”
This event initiative involves two components - food and apparel - with a limited-edition collaborative t-shirt by Ageless Galaxy, and a Deli food takeover of the Steeple's Deli Kitchen by Chef Johnny and the Park Bench Deli team, and Brooklyn Brewery will be serving their high-quality craft beer.”
“Steeple's Deli Pop Up” happens rain or shine on Sunday, September 4th from 11am till sold out at Steeple's Deli, 19 Tanglin Road, #02-25.
About Park Bench Deli: Park Bench Deli started as a side project when we were fancy chefs who came home hungry after 12-hour shifts, craving simple grub done right. We started by making the sandwiches we wanted to eat, but couldn’t get in Singapore. Big kid sandwiches, decadent over-the-top creations we could barely fit in our mouths. They were too good not to share, so we started selling them at pop-up events and from the back of food trucks. We learned how to make our own pastrami and pickles, and tried fifty different recipes for fried chicken. Finally, we were ready to open shop. Our Telok Ayer storefront is styled on the American deli, but we do sandwiches from all over. Really, we’ve only got two rules: do it big and do it right.
