Wikipedia at 25: Free Knowledge in Culture
To mark its 25th anniversary, the Wikimedia Foundation is collaborating with global design-led brands to transform digital open knowledge into tangible, everyday objects like apparel, home goods, and puzzles. This milestone campaign celebrates the vast global community of volunteers who sustain the encyclopedia, reframing Wikipedia from a passive screen-based tool into a living cultural artifact to be worn, shared, and discussed. By blending Wikipedia's mission with each partner's unique creative language, the initiative engages fans directly within their own cultural spaces. Ultimately, the goal is to transform standard consumer purchases into active contributions, as these collaborations generate direct donations that support and sustain a free, human-powered internet.

As part of this celebration, we have partnered with Wikipedia to launch a limited-edition streetwear capsule under our "Much Love From Jakarta" imprint.
Featuring a cardigan, t-shirt, running hat, and sticker pack, the collection seamlessly blends Wikipedia’s iconic puzzle pieces with traditional Indonesian Batik flower motifs to position free knowledge as an everyday cultural identity.

Through our community-led approach to fashion, we aim to bring a distinct regional perspective and local design narrative to the global stage.
This collaboration treats knowledge as something alive and evolving. A community-shaped, context-adapted resource that people can actively carry with them into the world.
